Being a Parent to Your Highly Sensitive Child

It is estimated that between 15-20% of the population are what we call "highly sensitive people" (HSPs).

Of those HSPs, it's thought that around 20% are children. So if you have a child who seems more sensitive than others, know that you are not alone.

There are many ways to be a parent to your highly sensitive child.

Here are some tips:

1. Validate their feelings.

2. Help them find healthy outlets for their emotions.

3. Be patient with them.

4. Teach them about self-care.

5. Seek professional help if needed.
